Evan is a queer Diné creative making visuals that empower, uplift, and collaborate with their communities. They believe the importance of correlation between mental wellbeing and being out in nature. Within these queer intimacies, I’ve explored familial vulnerability, feminine and drag expressions that bring out inner Indigenous creativity, Two Spirit/Indigiqueer love, and ultimately, being with the land. The land will not judge nor shame you, rather, the land holds you and allows you to breathe deeply, as if affirming “you are what is right in the world”.

Meeting and photographing Aiya and Letkwu was written in the stars and their love sparks something in you that will believe in the divine timing of the world. Documented here are two moments, one listening to the water and the swifts, feeling the brisk water between your toes, together, connected.
For some reason, every birthday I will take self portraits, finding again the inspiration to be really in tune with myself and gratitude for the body I inhabit. This one marks 3 decades of life.
Being outside is what inspires our inner ancestor detector, we allow ourselves to feel the land, the wind, the water, breathing in, breathing out.
